Please join US Green Building Council – St. Louis Chapter on March 31, 2009 at The Coronado Hotel for the first annual Growing Green Awards as we recognize the quiet leaders and the innovators in building a more sustainable St. Louis. The U.S. Green Building Council – St. Louis Regional Chapter is a non-profit, membership organization that advocates for and provides education and training around sustainable building practices & principals. Members include leaders in the region’s sustainable building efforts. Therefore, it only seemed fitting that they recognize the impeccable innovative professionals within their industry. “Founded in 2001, the Chapter is a relatively young organization. We’re proud that our education and advocacy efforts around green building have helped produce 27 LEED Certified projects in the St. Louis region and more than 100 more in the works”, says Pat Justis, current Chapter Chair and a Chapter Founder.

The Growing Green Awards will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at The Coronado Ballroom (3701 Lindell Blvd. ~ 314-367-4848) beginning at 6:30 p.m. Leading “green” event planning professionals, Rachel McCalla and Robert Shafer have ensured every aspect of the event is eco-friendly. The Growing Green Awards will recognize individuals, companies or organizations in the following six categories: (1) Residential; (2) Commercial; (3) Government; (4) Education; (5) Innovator; and (6) Quietly Green.
